At Agrarian Kitchen, we believe in practising what we preach. We love collaborating with our fellow vendors and using their exceptional produce to create our offerings. Over time, market guests have come to know us not only for our food, but for the ideas, recipes, and practical inspiration we share to help them make the most of their market finds. Vendors often direct customers our way for advice or creative tips.
The Strong Earth Company is an urban growing enterprise that makes use of every inch of available space. We grow from seed—sourced from Ontario growers and our own propagations—with a strong commitment to sustainability and community. Our goal is to help green our city and neighbourhoods by offering materials, advice, and inspiration to create vibrant, plant-filled spaces.
Our northern home, based in a carefully managed old-growth forest on the Canadian Shield, supports our work and offers an abundance of resources while being protected with care and intention.

Agrarian Kitchen is dedicated to small-batch preserves, cakes, pickles, pies, and more—crafted using ingredients from local farmers, including our fellow market vendors – at the peak of their season. We also offer made-to-order sourdough pizza, using a 3-day fermented crust, fresh toppings, and seasonal greens.
The Strong Earth Company celebrates the joy of growing. In early spring, we offer organically grown seedlings, annuals, and perennials from our urban Toronto gardens. Throughout the season, we also carry a selection of houseplants in beautifully curated pots, often featuring local artists’ work, along with whimsical favourites like Teacup Fairy Gardens and Closed Terrarium Gardens.
Agrarian Kitchen is a proudly local business employing local staff and working with local ingredients. We cook, bake, pickle, and preserve Ontario’s bounty in small batches with care – capturing the market at its most flavourful moment.
