Banjo Cider is an orchard, store, patio, tasting room, and cidery in Uxbridge, about an hour north of Toronto. We specialize in dry ciders made using premium local ingredients and traditional methods. Most of our ciders are made with juice from certified organic apples, and our young orchard full of cider apples is grown using sustainable practices. Our patio is open all summer, with live music and other events.
We specialize in dry ciders made with traditional methods. Unlike many cideries, we allow a long slow fermentation and aging process (between 9 and 18 months) which includes malolactic fermentation. This enhances flavour and smoothness. We do not filter, to preserve flavour and colour. We don’t use any artificial flavour or colour. We also make an unfiltered, sparkling non-alcoholic cider from certified organic apples.
