DESCRIPTION:Tiferet plays Klezmer music\, infused with Django jazz and Cajun elements.  Klezmer is Eastern European Jewish music\, dance tunes by turns lively and hauntingly melancholic.  You will be tapping your feet to the rhythms\, and responding to the sweet combination of violin and upright bass.  Rachel Sheinin has been studying and playing Klezmer violin for 25 years\, and has been playing with Bass player Michael Kaler for ten.  Michael brings a background in experimental jazz to this eastern European repertoire.
