DESCRIPTION:Colder weather is looming\, and we’re hosting a clothing drive for warm winter clothing for New Circles. \nAn estimated 8\,500 people will go to New Circles over the next six months for winter clothing. You can help “Keep Toronto Warm” by donating gently-used coats\, jackets\, snow pants\, snowsuits\, winter accessories\, or any good quality\, seasonally appropriate clothing. \nNew Circles helps newcomers\, refugees and others living on a low income meet their basic clothing needs. \n—-\nCLOTHING DRIVE:\nWe will be hosting a clothing drive at our Coffee Tent at Withrow Park during our last two farmers’ markets on October 8 and October 15. 9am to 1pm – rain or shine! \nYour donations help reduce textile waste and helps the environment – giving your used clothes a second life outside of a landfill. ♻️ \nACCEPTED ITEMS:\n• Sweaters\, sweatshirts\, long-sleeved shirts\, pants\, leggings\, long underwear\, and any type of seasonally appropriate clothing\n• Winter coats (all ages)\, jackets\, snow pants\, children’s snowsuits\, and adult snowsuits\n• Boots (all ages) and other warm footwear\n• Accessories like hats\, gloves\, mittens and scarves \nALL ITEMS MUST BE:\nClean and in good condition.\nWe can not accept items that are ripped\, stained\, or are in need of repair.\nThank you for your understanding! \n—-\nABOUT NEW CIRCLES:\nNew Circles Community Services is an innovative\, community- based agency that provides clothing\, employment training\, and social programs to newcomers\, refugees and others living on a low income. \nNew Circles’ GLOW (Gently Loved Outfits to Wear) is the largest clothing bank in Toronto\, serving more than 13\,000 people a year. The camp gives kids a chance to forget about their illness for a week and experience the magic of summer camp\, at zero cost to their families.\n\n\n\n  \nUnfortunately\, the camp was closed for the past two summers due to Covid so being able to reopening this summer is even more impactful because of the isolation these kids have had during the pandemic.\n\n\n\n  \nVisit Withrow Market this Saturday\, September 17 and help send a kid with congenital heart disease to camp! ❤️ Visit the Lonny’s Smile tent for fun kids activities and face painting.
